Step-by-Step Guide to Using Zonos Prepay

  1. Download the app
    • Install the free Zonos Prepay app on your smartphone (available on the App Store and Google Play).
  2. Create an account
    • Create a profile using only Latin characters (first name, last name, email).
    • Confirm your email address by clicking the link in the email from Zonos.
  3. Specify the shipment details
    • Open the app and select the type of shipment: standard package, gift, document, or return.
    • If necessary, specify the country of origin for the items.
    • Select your postal service provider (e.g., Kyrgyz Post, etc.).
  4. Describe the contents of the package (there are two options to choose from):
    • Automatically via AI (Zonos Vision): Take a photo of all items being shipped—either in a single group photo or multiple individual photos. The AI tool will automatically recognize the items and suggest the information for customs.
    • Manually: Enter the names, quantities, and values of the items yourself.
  5. Review the details and pay the duties
    • Verify that the customs information you entered is correct.
    • The app will calculate the applicable duties and tariffs for the U.S.—pay them with a credit card directly in the app.
  6. Drop off the package at a post office
    • After completing the declaration and paying the duties in the app, go to the branch of your chosen postal service provider with your prepared package, show the completed declaration ID or QR code to the postal employee, and pay for shipping according to the approved rates
