A delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by the Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Bakyt Torobaev, visited the international postal facility at the Torugart checkpoint.
The delegation also included employees of the JSC “Kyrgyz Pochtasy.”
The visit aimed to assess the readiness for launching postal exchanges between Kyrgyzstan and China.
The project is a result of a joint initiative by the postal services of both countries and is aimed at accelerating the exchange of postal items and e-commerce goods, as well as improving logistics.
During the visit, the parties discussed issues related to the organization of effective handling of postal items and cargo at the border, as well as the introduction of new mechanisms to simplify and speed up the process.
The launch of international postal exchanges at Torugart will be an important step toward improving postal services and strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
