A delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, visited the international postal station at the Torugart border checkpoint.
The delegation also included employees of OJSC “Kyrgyz Pochtasy.”
The visit was aimed at assessing the readiness for launching postal exchange between Kyrgyzstan and China.
The project is the result of a joint initiative by the postal services of both countries and aims to accelerate the exchange of postal items and e-commerce goods, as well as improve logistics.
During the visit, the parties discussed issues related to organizing the efficient processing of postal shipments and cargo at the border, as well as the implementation of new mechanisms to simplify and expedite the process.
The launch of international postal exchange at Torugart will be an important step in enhancing postal services and strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
