“Kyrgyz Post” OJSC has issued a new postage stamp dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC). The ceremonial cancellation of the commemorative postage stamp took place in Cholpon-Ata at State Residence No. 2 of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The ceremony was attended by RCC Director General Alexey Borodin, Chairman of the Service for Regulation and Supervision in the Communications Sector of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Toktorbaev, and Deputy General Director of “Kyrgyz Post” OJSC Uulzhan Masiyanova. As part of the ceremony, a special commemorative cancellation postmark produced by “Kyrgyz Post” OJSC for the anniversary was applied to the postage stamps.

The stamp sheet features the RCC logo, symbols of modern communications technologies, the number “35”, and Kyrgyz national ornaments. The commemorative issue is part of a joint project of the RCC member states and is aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of telecommunications and postal services.
