Thanks to the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, announced on November 2 at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Astana, an important step was taken on September 11 in the development of postal services and logistics between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. The CEO of JSC “Kyrgyz Post,” Marat Cherikchiev, held an online meeting with the CEO of the Turkmen Postal Service “Turkmenpost,” Serdar Ovadyov, during which the parties signed an agreement on long-term strategic partnership.
The goal of this agreement is to establish stable and mutually beneficial relations in the field of postal logistics and e-commerce. Special attention is given to the creation of a seamless logistics chain between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, with the possibility of utilizing the logistics complex with access to the Turkmenbashi port.
Marat Cherikchiev, the CEO of JSC “Kyrgyz Post,” emphasized that the signing of this agreement not only strengthens the ties between the two postal operators but also opens the way to creating more efficient and accessible postal services for the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Improving logistics and accelerating postal deliveries are key aspects of this cooperation, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on both the economy and the everyday life of the populations of both countries.
Additionally, the agreement fosters closer interaction between businesses and societies in both countries. It opens new opportunities for the development of e-commerce, the exchange of experience and technologies, which will ultimately contribute to strengthening the economic and social infrastructure.
This step is a bright example of how international cooperation helps address pressing issues and improve infrastructure in the postal services sector. The signed agreement marks a new stage in the development of postal operators in Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, creating conditions for the further growth and prosperity of the industry for the benefit of the citizens of both countries.
