JSC “Kyrgyz Post,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, annually organizes an essay competition among schoolchildren on the initiative of the Universal Postal Union.
This year, the essay competition, held in the epistolary genre, focused on the theme: “Write a letter to future generations about the world that you hope they will inherit.” The winners of the competition were determined, and the essay by 14-year-old Ayana Jolonova was sent by Kyrgyzstan Post to the Universal Postal Union.
The winner has not yet been determined among the 172 countries, but Ayana Jolonova’s essay from Kyrgyzstan has been published on the official page of the Universal Postal Union. For Kyrgyz Post, this is a significant achievement — having a Kyrgyz schoolchild represented in a global competition. JSC “Kyrgyz Post” also wishes Ayana Jolonova the best of luck in securing a prize-winning position.
The essay by Ayana Jolonova, sent by JSC “Kyrgyz Post” to the Universal Postal Union, is written as follows:
“In Jalal-Abad, there is a beautiful lake, Sary-Chelek. In a year, or maybe in a century, you will be able to admire this magnificent beauty just a few steps away from you. But always remember, no matter how much time has passed, the generation after you has the right to admire it, and you must leave these lakes untouched in your generation.”
