On November 18, 2024, in Kashgar, within the pilot free trade zone of Xinjiang, the forum “Investments and Trade of Industrial Parks in Regional Studies” took place. The event was organized by the Kashgar Economic Development Zone Management Committee. The forum aimed to introduce innovations, develop new models of interaction, and promote the development of mutually beneficial cooperation among countries in the region.
High-level representatives from various countries participated in the forum. Among them were Marat Cherikchiev, General Director of OJSC “Kyrgyz Post,” Altynbek Ergyshev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn Region, Mr. Wu Xiaobin, Permanent Committee Member of the Party Committee and First Deputy Head of Kashgar District, as well as the General Directors of the postal services of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
During the forum, several significant agreements were signed, aimed at developing logistics and strengthening trade and economic ties between countries. One of the key events was the signing of the “Framework Agreement on Cooperation in Logistics” between Xinjiang International Trade Company “Pamir” LLC and OJSC “Kyrgyz Post.” This document will open new opportunities for joint development of logistics infrastructure and strengthen trade relations between the countries.
Also signed was the “Initiative to Strengthen Trade and Economic Cooperation,” which involved representatives from the Kashgar Economic Development Zone, the Naryn Region of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as OJSC “Kyrgyz Post,” OJSC “Uzbekistan Post,” OJSC “Turkmenistan Post,” and the Tajikistan Park. This agreement aims to deepen partnerships and foster cooperation in the fields of economy and trade among Central Asian countries.
The organizer of the forum, Mr. Guan Yuna, Director of the Kashgar Economic Development Zone Administration, expressed confidence that the signed agreements and initiatives would contribute to the further development of economic ties, the creation of new business opportunities, and the strengthening of international cooperation in the region.
