As part of the visit of JSC “Kyrgyz Post” CEO Marat Cherikchiev to China, an important meeting was held on November 20, 2024, with the President of YanTian Port, Mr. Shen.

The meeting, which took place in the city of Kashgar, focused on the prospects for improving logistics routes between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the further development of transport corridors that will provide direct connections with other countries in the Fergana Valley and Europe. Special attention was given to the development of logistics infrastructure in the Kyrgyz Republic, including the modernization of existing facilities and the creation of new transport hubs to optimize freight transportation.

The parties discussed issues related to the development of cross-border trade and the prospects for exporting goods from Central Asia and other countries through YanTian Port. During the discussion, the significance of the port in improving logistics flows and expanding trade opportunities between the EAEU countries, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe was emphasized.

Marat Cherikchiev expressed his gratitude to Mr. Shen for the opportunity to discuss cooperation and noted that it was an honor for him to meet with someone who has dedicated 26 years to the development of YanTian Port. He stressed that JSC “Kyrgyz Post” is ready for cooperation and is confident that the company will meet the trust and expectations of its partners in Central Asia.

The YanTian International Container Terminal is a deep-water port in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, specializing in handling containers of all types, from feeder vessels to very large container ships.
