In order to assist in enhancing professional skills and increasing the sales of goods and services among entrepreneurs in Central Asia within the field of cross-border trade on global markets via B2B, B2C, and e-commerce platforms, JSC “Kyrgyz Post,” in collaboration with the business platform “Tabarman,” held the international forum “E-com KG 2024” from July 26 to 28, 2024, in the Issyk-Kul region.
The forum was attended by over 1,000 people. The event gathered leading experts in e-commerce, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators, as well as postal organizations from Estonia, Turkmenistan, and Turkey.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the President’s Apparatus, Akylbek Japarov, via videoconference from Bishkek. In his speech, he stated that with the development of e-commerce, postal services will be revived, and the postman will once again become the hero of our time.
The forum featured exhibitions of Kyrgyz manufacturers and logistics companies, as well as displays from industries related to the e-commerce market. Discussions were held on the current issues and challenges of implementing the strategy for the development of cross-border trade in the Kyrgyz Republic, along with the current challenges, trends, and opportunities for Kyrgyz entrepreneurs.
An agreement was signed between “Kyrgyz Post” and “Turkish Post” to create new products in the fields of e-commerce, logistics, and cargo handling, as well as to develop trade exchanges between the two countries. This marks the first step in a strategic partnership between the two companies.
It is worth noting that the forum, organized by JSC “Kyrgyz Post” and aimed at developing e-commerce, was held for the first time in 2023 in Bishkek.
