The famous Kyrgyz writer Baktybek Maksutov is the author of prose versions of the priceless heritage of the Kyrgyz people — the epics “Manas,” “Semetei,” “Seitek,” as well as a number of books covering key events in the history of Kyrgyzstan.

One of Maksutov’s significant works is the book “Red Massacre, Bloody Battle,” in which he conducts a thorough study of the 1916 Urkun incident, describing the severe events of that time and the fate of the people.

In addition, the writer published a 12-volume prose version of the Manas epic and a book for schoolchildren, “Er Toshduk,” making a significant contribution to the upbringing of youth and drawing their attention to the national heritage and history.

All of the aforementioned and other works by Baktybek Maksutov are now available for purchase at all postal offices across Kyrgyzstan.

Maksutov’s books play an important role in preserving and transmitting national history, traditions, and spiritual values to future generations, as well as helping readers to gain a deep understanding of the culture and epic of the Kyrgyz people.
