Today, a solemn awards ceremony for the finalists of the social project “Girls in IT” took place in Bishkek. The project was implemented by Wildberries with support from JSC “Kyrgyz Post,” the public fund “Ene-Balaga Tirek,” and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The “Girls in IT” project aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan and provide quality and accessible education for a quick start in modern digital professions. The pilot project involved 30 girls from professional lyceums, selected from 7 regions of the country. The training took place in the summer of 2024 under the coordination of Wildberries Art Director Dmitry Matveev and company experts in design and HR.
The award ceremony was attended by high-profile guests, including the CEO of JSC “Kyrgyz Post” Marat Cherikchiev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Rasul Abazbek uulu, Deputy Director of the “Ene-Balaga Tirek” Public Fund Gulzat Murzakanova, Head of the Business Environment Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Musu Kataganov, CEO of Wildberries in Kyrgyzstan Ksenia Shkolnikova, and the Project Manager of “Girls in IT” in Kyrgyzstan Olga Niyazalieva.
The finalists successfully completed their training, defended their graduation projects, and were awarded certificates and gifts. All 30 participants received laptops and other valuable prizes from JSC “Kyrgyz Post” and the Public Fund of the First Lady “Ene-Balaga Tirek,” which will aid them in further education and the development of their professional skills. Additionally, the graduates have been recommended to Wildberries partners in Kyrgyzstan as entry-level specialists capable of creating product listings and managing social media pages.
