As part of the international exhibition “China-Eurasia EXPO” held in Urumqi, in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China (XUAR, PRC), more than 40 documents were signed between the government authorities of Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as the business community.
This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the statement, bilateral agreements worth a total of 1.5 billion dollars were signed in sectors such as energy, machine engineering, logistics, trade, and mining.
It is worth noting that the signing ceremony was attended by entrepreneurs interested in implementing joint projects between Kyrgyzstan and China. They also held B2B meetings in their respective industries, and discussed proposals and investment projects. As part of the “Two Countries, Two Parks” initiative, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Naryn region, in collaboration with OJSC Kyrgyz Post, the Committee for Managing the Kashgar Economic Development Zone, PRC, and the Kashgar China-Kyrgyz Investment and Development Company, signed a framework agreement on a number of projects, one of which includes the construction of an automobile assembly plant in the Naryn region.
The projects will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region by providing favorable conditions for business in the Naryn SEZ and creating new jobs, as well as saturating the Kyrgyz market with domestically produced cars and their export.
