In order to promote a healthy lifestyle and sports among the population, today the international half marathon “ONE Run-2024” took place in the city of Bishkek. The marathon started at 7 AM at Turdakun Usubaliyev Square. Around 2,000 people participated in the event, including employees of JSC “Kyrgyz Post.” They competed in distances of 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km, and were awarded medals.
The organizers of the half marathon are the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall, the “Run the Silk Road” International Marathon Directorate, the Kyrgyz Federation of Athletics, and the organizer of mass sports events – the “League of Heroes.”
It is worth noting that the half marathon is simultaneously taking place in Egypt, Brazil, Cameroon, Qatar, China, Bahrain, the UAE, Serbia, Turkey, 89 regions of Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, China, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
