Today, a ceremonial award ceremony was held for the winners of the national epistolary essay contest on the theme: “I am the ocean — and how people should take care of me.” The contest was organized by OJSC «Kyrgyz Post» in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, under the initiative of the Universal Postal Union.
More than 10,000 schoolchildren from across the country took part in the contest. Many of them enriched their essays with illustrations, making their work even more touching and heartfelt.
The winners of the contest are:
- 1st place — Vadim Bakhantsev, Grade 5, Budenovka village, Ysyk-Ata district, Chui region. Awarded a laptop and a diploma.
- 2nd place — Nurislam Tashtanbekov, Grade 4, Yntymak village, Tyup district, Issyk-Kul region. Awarded a mobile phone and a diploma.
- 3rd place — Uulay Kubanova, Grade 6, Tegene village, Aksy district, Jalal-Abad region. Awarded a mobile phone and a diploma.
Additionally, for the best artistic works accompanying the essays, Canon cameras were awarded to:
- Anipa Mayrambekova, Grade 9, Talas city, Talas region
- Rayana Mirlanova, Grade 3, Chaek village, Jumgal district, Naryn region
- Salamat Aldashev, Grade 5, Ilyich village, Kemin district, Chui region
