A ceremonial cancellation of a commemorative series of postage stamps dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first museum in Kyrgyzstan was held at the M.V. Frunze Memorial House-Museum. The event was held in cooperation with “Kyrgyz Post” OJSC, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the museum, the postal service, and the media.
The commemorative series consists of nine stamps dedicated to the history of the museum and the life of Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze. The stamps feature portraits of Frunze, the museum building, and important historical events. One of the stamps is also dedicated to the museum being awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples.
The event included welcoming speeches and a commemorative cancellation of first-day covers. The new issue is another way of preserving historical memory and highlighting the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.
