The General Director of JSC «Kyrgyz Post» Marat Cherikchiyev, met with Liu Jun, Deputy Director General (Vice Minister) of the State Post Bureau of China, and his delegation. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cross-border trade, access to the e-commerce market, cooperation within the Universal Postal Union, and preparations for the upcoming Universal Postal Congress. Special attention was given to the upcoming opening ceremony of the new postal exchange point at the "Torugart" checkpoint, which will ensure uninterrupted delivery of mail across the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. The Chinese delegation also visited the logistics center and observed the operation of the new sorting line. In honor of the professional holiday — Communications Workers' Day, celebrated on May 7, an excursion to the city of Tashkent was organized for employees of the Kadamjay District Branch of JSC «Kyrgyz Post». As part of the trip, the participants visited the Central Post Office building of JSC "Uzpost". A special moment was when each employee sent a postcard to their home address, just like an ordinary client — not as part of an official delegation. The SCO international marathon "Run the Silk Road" was held in Cholpon-Ata, gathering around 3,000 participants from more than 20 countries. The route ran along the picturesque shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. Employees of JSC «Kyrgyz Post» actively participated in this large-scale sporting event. The submission of essays on the topic “Imagine Yourself as the Ocean!” was completed on April 7, 2025. The competition was organized by JSC «Kyrgyz Post» in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, under the initiative of the Universal Postal Union. A special commission is currently reviewing the essays written by teenagers aged 9 to 15. In total, around 5,000 handwritten letters in the epistolary genre were received from across the country. District-level results will be announced by May 25, 2025, and the winners will receive cash prizes. The national stage will conclude on October 9, World Post Day, when the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded valuable gifts from JSC «Kyrgyz Post».
